"So many of us work in fight or flight mode in our teams when operating technology without actually realising it."

This was a great quote from a client participating in one of our performance programmes.

The individual noted that from research, “many people for example, answer digital messages they get like they are getting chased by a big cat in the Savannah. Why?”

We explained that it is often far too commonplace for people’s nervous system’s to be operating on a heightened sense of anticipation so that the individual is completely removed from self awareness at work. The most productive with the greatest performance can achieve both self awareness and maximum productivity once they know how.

Relatively few people have acquired that ability by the time they enter work because it is not a consideration within education or career conversations either before or through the course of many people’s career.

Here’s the team at Wirral Met College late last year benefitting from Sniff Sigh Yawn sleep performance workshops.

Too many of us hold ourselves at work in tension without realising. Intention not in tension is key, being aware of and focusing on, e.g. how and where you breathe from. The jazz hands exercise soon got everybody loosened up!

And we were grateful for the feedback!
