#StressAwarenessDay this week hey?
Triggers can always create stress.
Why? Well, the first thing they change is how you breathe.
A trigger for some can simply be comparing ourselves to others then becoming bitter.
I must remind people I meet on a one-to-one almost on a weekly basis about this.
It’s especially true when it comes to social media.
Don’t be looking at Fb, LinkedIn and other channels and how many likes somebody has for a post. And how many comments they have.
There’s that old mantra too, “stay in your lane” – don’t write negative comments on other people’s posts.
But, never mind other people, try and get away from yourself, and especially comparing yourself to others.
Compete with yourself if you wish and don’t be harsh in the process.
Just do your best to get that bit better every week, whoever you are, whether you’re just starting work or the CEO!
And don’t forget the power of the breath in helping lower your stress and all the science behind it.
You can control psychological triggers through the breath.
Why? Because the mind controls the body but the breath controls the mind.
Reach out if your team would like to learn how to control triggers and reduce their stress load.
