LAST MONTH’S RITUAL WAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MANTRAS I OFTEN SEE AND HEAR FROM HIGH VISIBILITY ENTREPRENEURS AND LEADERSHIP GURUS ON HOW TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF IN WORK AND LIFE.
That’s a critique not a criticism of some of the best known in their field against a culture backdrop of what guests experienced in an event on which I’ve had unprecedented feedback.
I hosted the second instalment of workplace wellbeing-inspired networking event, Ritual which showcased a progressive look at workplace culture and how to maximise your performance in work and life.
Very much holistic business driven, joining me were guest speakers Alison Blackler Carly Skelly Paul Garrigan Clare Ellis Jamie Wray and Henry Churney.
Initially, Alison and I discussed how best to overcome all the stressors and triggers we face daily, whether from people, situations presented to us or most likely, both!
We then heard from Carly, a world boxing champion in recent years alongside business and real life partner Paul Garrigan on how becoming the best version of yourself through commitment to learning and development, is the best way to combat and override all the obstacles you face at work and in life.
Delivered with the typical drive and passion that underpins their successes in life to date, guests were enthralled, perhaps more so because of the unique modalities they employ to help people achieve their goals.
Next up was a guy I’ve known for a few decades who’s transitioned into a major player in motivational speaking partly through his business vehicle Ways To WOW.
Jamie Wray runs events with a striking wellbeing at work message entwined within what I’d call American showbiz extravaganzas.
Ritual’s event partner Wellness In The City Liverpool was represented by Liverpool networking queen and founder Clare Ellis who explained how the second annual one day event happening on April 19th this year was progressing and the opportunities for companies, organisations, practitioners and the general public.
Finally, Henry Churney highlighted his work as a stand up comedian and mental wellbeing advocate and I’m looking forward to getting to know more about the work he delivers for large corporations.
It really was worth all the endeavour and thank you to everyone who supported the night, especially the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village – managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts who were great hosts. Thank you Howard Lewis, Sara Mullins and your impeccable team.
See you next Friday!
